Dr. Wong earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with Honours from the University of Waterloo and has since practiced across a wide range of clinical settings, from private practice to rural healthcare to remote northern communities. That range of experience gave him particular strength in ocular disease management, dry eye treatment, and specialty contact lenses, and he has extensive experience diagnosing and managing conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and acute ocular emergencies.
Dr. Wong is also active in advanced dry eye care, offering treatments such as IPL therapy, ZEST treatments, and meibomian gland expression.
Passionate about improving access to eye care in underserved communities, Dr. Wong provides travelling optometry services throughout Nunavut, delivering comprehensive eye exams in remote communities and coordinating with local healthcare teams to ensure patients receive appropriate follow-up care. He is fluent in English and Cantonese.
