Dr. Shani Avraham is dedicated to providing quality eye care for her patients, attentively treating each patient like her family. Her goal is to educate and advocate for eye health and the overall health and wellbeing of her patients.
Dr. Avraham grew up in Thornhill and graduated with distinction from York University, with an Honours Bachelor of Science. She worked in our clinic for 4 years where her passion for eye care expanded. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2021 and graduated cum laude.
Dr. Avraham takes her commitment to education seriously and continues to expand her knowledge while also taking a keen interest in dry eye, myopia management and ocular disease. She is a clinical researcher at the University of Waterloo’s Centre of Ocular Research and Education, conducting leading research in the field of contact lenses, myopia management and dry eye disease. During her clinical externship at the Health Sciences Centre in Waterloo, she gained extensive experience in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
