Dr. Jasper Wong is a dedicated optometrist committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care to individuals of all ages. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with Honours from the University of Waterloo and has since gained extensive experience practicing in a wide variety of clinical settings, including private practice, rural healthcare and remote northern communities.
Dr. Wong has a special interest in ocular disease management, dry eye disease treatment, and specialty contact lenses. He has extensive experience diagnosing and managing conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and acute ocular emergencies. He is also actively involved in advanced dry eye care treatments, including IPL therapy, ZEST treatments, and meibomian gland expression.
Passionate about improving access to eye care in underserved communities, Dr. Wong provides travelling optometry services throughout Nunavut, where he delivers comprehensive eye examinations in remote communities and collaborates with local healthcare teams to navigate unique healthcare challenges and ensure patients receive appropriate follow-up care.
Fluent in English and Cantonese, Dr. Wong is committed to building meaningful relationships with his patients and providing individualized care tailored to their visual and ocular health needs. He is excited to bring his experience and dedication to serving the local community.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Wong enjoys honing his culinary skills, exploring the local food scene, and discovering new restaurants and cuisines.
