Dr. Shani Avraham is dedicated to providing quality eye care for her patients, attentively treating each like her family. Her goal is to educate and advocate for eye health and the overall health and well-being of her patients. Dr. Avraham sees patients of all ages and has a keen interest in dry eye, myopia management, and ocular disease.
Dr. Avraham grew up in Thornhill and graduated with distinction from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Science. She worked with our team for 4 years, where her passion for eye care expanded. During her clinical externship, she gained extensive experience in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Avraham graduated cum laude with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2021 and joined Foresee Eyecare. She has served as a clinical researcher at the University of Waterloo’s Centre of Ocular Research and Education, conducting leading research in the fields of contact lenses, myopia management, and dry eye disease.
She has also been published in medical journals, inter-collaborating with various professionals on ocular rosacea and dry eye management.
Dr. Avraham is fluent in Hebrew and English.
